Returning to a place that feels familiar and safe to me, however, this time I chose to experience it in a different way, only to clear my mind. Allowing myself to slow down, to observe more, and to try things that felt slightly uncomfortable. Being in a familiar environment while doing unfamiliar things helped me feel grounded, yet open. It reminded me that change doesn’t always require a completely new place, but a new way of seeing.
What happened last year, and two, three years ago, made me realise that stepping away from routine is not about escaping responsibility but about creating space for reflection. When we pause and break small patterns, we give ourselves permission to be honest about our needs and fears. In that space, inspirations feel more natural and decisions feel more personal.
Sometimes, becoming yourself begins with short distance, from routings, from expectations, and from the noise that keeps you from listening inward.
